Former Grande Prairie City Manager Horacio Galanti has found his next position. The City of Airdrie says he has been appointed its Chief Administrative Officer, starting August 29th.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Galanti to Airdrie,” says Mayor Peter Brown. “Our Council interviewed a number of high-quality candidates and we are confident in Horacio’s abilities and experience. He is a well-respected leader with a demonstrated commitment to efficiency, revenue diversification, sustainability, and building strong organizational culture.”
Galanti first took on the role of Interim City Manager in Grande Prairie in 2018, taking over from Bob Nicolay. He took on the CAO job on a full-time basis in February 2019 and tendered his resignation on January 28, 2022.
Nicolay has been back in the position on an interim basis until a replacement is hired. He has been contracted for the position until December 31, 2022.
