A Lymburn man is facing charges in connection with a shooting in that area Sunday. Beaverlodge RCMP says its investigation so far has found that the suspect had blocked a road with a cable, and a person stopped their vehicle.
That’s when it’s alleged the suspect shot a gun at the driver, reloaded it, and then fired another shot. The victim was not hit and was able to get away.
Police say they found the suspect at a home nearby. He surrendered to officers a short time later and was taken into custody.
62-year-old Ronald Pruss is facing charges of discharging a firearm with intent, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, and mischief under $5,000. He remains in custody with a court date set for August 24th in Grande Prairie.
