Grande Prairie RCMP seizes stolen property, weapons

A Grande Prairie man is facing a slew of charges after police seized what is believed to be stolen property after responding to a single vehicle collision near Sexsmith. Police say they responded to the crash at Range Road 74 and Highway 59 on Saturday morning.

When they arrived, an investigation led them to believe that the truck had been stolen overnight from Grande Prairie. The driver of the truck had fled the scene on foot but was located a short time later hiding in a vehicle on a nearby property.

Police say during a search of the suspect, they seized a stolen wallet, bank cards, two knives, a can of bear spray and two grams of meth. 18-year-old Chase Glodek is facing charges including possession of property obtained by crime, and mischief over $5,000.
