Alberta Health Services’ sites in Grande Prairie, Cold Lake, Peace River, Fairview, and Fort McMurray have run out of free COVID-19 rapid test kits.
In a statement, AHS says more will be available as of next week. The tests are publicly available for a 14-day period while supplies last.
Premier Jason Kenney says if you are hosting a holiday get-together this year, these rapid tests might be a good tool to keep your guests safe. The province is also making the kits available to all K-6 schools in the province under COVID-19 alert status. Participation in this program is optional.
