Tarant proud to see Alberta Party leader elected

For the first time ever, the Alberta Party has a representative in the legislature. Party leader Greg Clark was elected in his riding of Calgary-Elbow, which local candidate Rory Tarant says was their main focus.

“We had the chance to introduce the Alberta Party to many residents of Grande Prairie-Wapiti. There was a lot of people that were drawn to us and liked what we had to say. With a leader in, I think we’ll have a stronger representation.”

Tarant ran in the Grande Prairie-Wapiti riding, which was won by incumbent Wayne Drysdale. Drysdale admits that while he’s happy to have been voted back in, it will be difficult with only 11 seats held by the PC Party.
