Wildrose Party introduces Grande Prairie – Wapiti candidate

The newest Wildrose Party candidate for the Grande Prairie – Wapiti riding, Laila Goodridge, is preparing for what will be her first provincial election.

“For the last little while I’ve been serving Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party in Ottawa, working for the Minister of Environment , and I will be able to bring some of the work that we’ve done to clean up Ottawa, I think I have that skill to bring to clean up Edmonton.”

Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray, and says she has been a longtime Wildrose supporter.

“I’ve been part of the Wildrose Party for many, many years but ultimately Brian Jean is the right leader and it is the right time and I’m very, very excited and very blessed to be serving him.”

The newest candidate for the Grande Prairie – Wapiti riding says she has a connection to voters in northern Alberta.

“I love northern Alberta, it’s my favourite place in the whole world and I’m so excited to be here in Grande Prairie. I have very strong roots here in the Peace Region going back three generations, and I’m very excited to be here to work for Brian and the Wildrose Party.”

Goodridge is running alongside the Grande Prairie – Smoky Wildrose candidate Todd Loewen. In the Wapiti riding, she is up against Rory Tarant under the Alberta Party banner, Mary Dahr with the NDP party, and PC incumbent Wayne Drysdale.
