Former NHL player shares stories of career with Grande Prairie

The Swan City got a visit from two former NHL players today, as part of the Every Kid Every Community Speaker Series.

TSN Hockey Analyst and former NHL goaltender Jamie McLennan had to miss his speaking opportunity due to flight delays, but Jason Strudwick was able to fill the space.

The TSN Radio host and former NHL defenseman regaled the crowd with humorous stories of his journey through the National Hockey League.

“I was fortunate enough to have a pretty long career in the NHL, and now I like to share those stories with other people and maybe inspire some people to continue on their dream of becoming whatever level of player they want, and just talk about how great the game is because it is a great game.”

The pair both plan to take in this evening’s Storm game against Fort McMurray.
