Snowfall and precipitation records broken in Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie managed to unofficially break two different weather records yesterday.

The Swan City saw eight centimetres of snow, far surpassing the previous February 5th record of 4.-6 centimetres, set in 1994.

That lead to 6.8 millimetres of precipitation, more than doubling the 1965 record of 3.3.

Another five centimetres of the white stuff is expected today and another two to four overnight.
