Three year sentence for Grande Prairie liquor store robbery

The man accused of stealing from a Grande Prairie liquor store last month has plead guilty to a charge of robbery.

Early on January 21st, a man was seen loitering around the store on 100th Ave before stealing liquor and threatening employees with a knife.

45 year old Philip Lamarche was arrested nearby after a brief foot pursuit.

Lamarche has been handed a three year prison sentence, along with a 200 dollar fine and a lifetime firearms prohibition.

His other charges were withdrawn.
