No word yet on what caused a fatal accident north of Whitecourt Thursday.
Police were called to the scene on Highway 43 at 2:15 a.m., 45 kilometres from the town, where the driver of a crashed semi-tractor trailer was found deceased.
RCMP K Division Inspector Gibson Glavin says the the victim was the lone occupant of the semi, and no other vehicles were involved.
However, the collision is still under investigation, and no details about the deceased’s identity have been released by the Medical Examiner.
