Liquor store robbery suspect arrested after brief foot chase

Grande Prairie RCMP has arrested a man they believe is responsible for robbery a liquor store with a knife early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., a disoriented man was reportedly loitering around the liquor store in the area of 104th Street and 100th Avenue.

When he eventually entered the store, he stole liquor and threatened the employees before fleeing the scene.

The suspect was spotted nearby and was arrested after a brief foot chase.

It’s believed he was also the subject of a number of other complaints in the area before he was caught.

45 year old Philip Lamarche is facing one count of armed robbery.
