Leanne Beaupre has been re-acclaimed as Reeve of the County of Grande Prairie for another term.
“It is an honour to be supported by my fellow Councillors to serve another term as Reeve for the County of Grande Prairie,” Beaupre says. “As County Council, our focus continues to be strategically investing in the needs of our residents to maintain a high quality of life in our communities over the long term.”
Beaupre, who was first elected as the County of Grande Prairie’s Reeve in 2012, will share responsibilities with a Deputy Reeve for the next term. Peter Harris, who has served on council since 2013 and represents Division 6 was selected for the position for the next year.
“I look forward to taking on his new role working alongside my fellow Councillors and staff to ensure that the County remains the ideal place to live, work and play,” he says.
The position of Reeve, Deputy Reeve, and all other committee positions are selected every year as part of the annual organizational meeting.
