The strong smell of gas which offended the nostrils of many in the south end of Grande Prairie on Thursday was likely caused by a tanker truck with a slightly open valve.
“It’s not the first time, it happens quite often you know. A crew truck rolls through town, and they’ve got a vent open or something, and it gets pretty stinky,” an ATCO Gas spokesperson told mygrandeprairienow.com.
He adds, as of 10:00 a.m., no incidents or issues with the ATCO infrastructure had been recorded.
