Last month was a record one for total dollar value of home sales in Grande Prairie.
According to the Grande Prairie and Area Association of Realtors, 54.5 million dollars worth of home sales were recorded last month, a 22 percent increase from January of last year, and a record for the month of January.
That despite a slight decrease in the number of homes sold in the month when compared to figures from last year.
A total of 168 homes were sold last month, with an average price of over 324 thousand dollars.
