Speakers announced for this year's Growing the North conference

The CBC’s Terry O’Reilly and award winning science broadcaster Jay Ingram are the two keynote speakers who have been announced for this year’s Growing the North conference.

The conference, which will be held February 18 and 19 at the Entrec Centre, brings speakers each year who are experts on everything from energy and agriculture, to stakeholder engagement and research and development.

Other scheduled speakers include Dr. Deborah Eastlick, the Vice President of Alberta Stakeholder Engagement for the Alberta Enery Regulator; Siegfried Kiefer, who is COO of Energy and Utilities for the ATCO Group; Dick Brown, the President and CEO of Ferus Liquids; J.P. Gervais, Chief Agricultural Economist for Farm Credit Canada; Paul Whittaker, President and CEO of the Alberta Forest Products Association; and Katherine Loflin with Loflin Consulting Solutions.

County of Grande Prairie Economic Development Officer Chris King says he’s pleased with the selection of speakers that have been lined up for the 6th Annual Growing Economic Development Conference.
