Grande Prairie RCMP stop alleged drug delivery during traffic stop

Grande Prairie RCMP has stopped what they say was an attempted drug delivery in the city. On September 3rd, Crime Reduction Unit members were downtown when they say they saw a stolen vehicle.

They pulled the vehicle over and during a search say they found 127 grams of Crystal meth, 14 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of fentanyl, a taser and $3,800 in cash.

During their investigation police say they received information that a third person was en-route to the suspect vehicle to deliver additional drugs. The man was intercepted by CRU and arrested.

35-year-old Adam Byrne of Grande Prairie and 30-year-old Lacey Hollingshead of Bluesky have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
