Child pornography charges dropped against Fort St. John man

Police in Fort St. John, B.C. have apologized after child pornography charges were dropped against a local man.

In June, charges of possession and distribution of child pornography were laid against Barton Christopher Tetreau.

RCMP says further investigation found that his wireless internet connection had been accessed and used by another person without his knowledge on a continual basis.

Sergeant Marcel Guilbault has apologized on behalf of the RCMP for the allegations and any negative consequences he may have suffered.
