The schedule of events for the official ribbon cutting ceremony weekend at the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum is starting to take shape.

Pipestone Creek Dinosaur Initiative Executive Director Brian Brake says it begins Thursday, August 7th, with a late afternoon event at Grande Prairie city hall.

“That includes the possibility of the keys to the city being presented to the Aykroyd family for all of the attention and positive press that they have given to this area.  On Friday, we are going to take the celebrities and our major sponsors and we are going to go out to the Pipestone Creek and we are going to do some digging for bones.”

That day will wrap up with a private fundraising dinner.

Saturday, August 9th will feature the museum ribbon cutting, dedication of the Aykroyd family theatre, and the Amber ball fundraiser.
