McLennan RCMP has charged two people, including one from Grande Prairie, after a break and enter on a property near the Hamlet of Tangent.
Mounties say around 3 p.m. on August 12th, a homeowner returned to their property to find three people there. Once they arrived the trio quickly fled the area in a car.
Police responded to the call but were joined by members of the Smoky River Fire Department, members of the community and a civilian helicopter pilot, who helped track the three down. Authorities add the vehicle the suspects fled the scene in was previously reported stolen from Grande Prairie.
Subsequently, 42-year-old Jesse Paquin of Grande Prairie and 27-year-old Colton Breuer of Whitelaw were charged with possession of stolen property, break and enter, obstruction and several breaches of conditions.
A third suspect was released with charge.
