Two Peace Country farms taking part in Alberta Open Farm Days

Two farms in the area are opening their doors to the public this Alberta Open Farm Days. The Kleskun Hill Museum and CJ Alpacas will be participating in the annual program which was designed to give Albertans an opportunity to experience the farm and understand where their food comes from.

The Kleskun Hill Museum near Bezanson will be open on August 17th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be village tours running at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in order to teach people about history, horticulture and farm life in the early 1900s. A campground and hiking trails are also available for people to use. It is located at 41060 Township Road 724.

CJ Alpacas in Debolt will be open August 17th and 18th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for spinning demonstrations using alpaca fibres, nature walks with a miniature donkey and opportunities to take pictures with the farm’s alpacas. The farm is located on 72437 Range Road 264.
