The community of Prince George is gearing up to host the Canada Winter Games next February, but before they can get started, the official Canada Games Flag will be making a stop here in Grande Prairie.
The Swan City is one of 22 communities the flag will be visiting as it travels across the country to reach Prince George.
As the 1995 host of the Canada Winter Games, Grande Prairie will be one of the flag’s last stops, from January 29 to February 3, 2015.
The Games themselves are set for February 13 to March 1.
