Two members of the Grande Prairie Piranhas Swim Club have made the podium at the Canadian Junior Championships. On day one of the competition in Calgary, Catherine Minic won a silver medal in the 100-metre butterfly 15 to 17-year-old category.
At the competition last year, Catherine picked up gold in both the 100 and 200-metre butterfly.
Also on the first day, Jordan Greber placed 3rd in the B final of the 13 to 14-year-old 200-metre backstroke.
The competition runs from July 24th to the 29th at the Repsol Sport Centre.
