Paving work to start in Clairmont

People in Clairmont are about to see some work done to the roads in their area. Crews are preparing 1.9 kilometres of road for grading and base paving.

Work will occur on parts of 107, 106, 105, 104, 103, 102 and 101 avenues, along with 97A street. Grading involves digging out the existing road structure to re-align, level or widen the road. Base paving work includes removing the top layer of gravel, repairing the base of the road if needed and then repaving it.

During construction, drivers may experience traffic delays and speed will be reduced in construction zones. Traffic may also be down to one alternating lane at times.

Drivers are reminded to obey all signs and flag people and to allow for extra time while in construction zones. Work is expected to be done in early September depending on the weather.
