The wildfire evacuee reception centre at Grande Prairie Regional College has closed its doors. As of June 5th, most of the people displaced by fires like the one near High Level have gone home but around 400 evacuees remain in the city.
Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership personnel continue to evaluate what is needed as several communities are still on evacuation alerts.
Any evacuees who need assistance will be able to call the public information line at 780-567-5587 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
