UPDATE #2: As of 7:20 p.m. on May 30th, Water has been restored to affected businesses. Public works says to run taps for 15 minutes if water looks discoloured.
UPDATE: The pool in Beaverlodge has also been closed while repairs are made to a water valve in the area.
Beaverlodge businesses could be without water on Thursday. In order to replace a water valve, the Town has plans to shut off the water to every business from 4th Avenue W to Highway 43, and from 10A Street to 8th Street starting at 1 p.m. on May 30th.
The town first announced a potential shut off on Wednesday as crews investigated a water leak on 2nd Avenue by the Armstrong Medical Clinic. Officials say the public will be updated as to when the water will be back on.
