City launches public entrance sign design survey

Residents of Grande Prairie can now have their say as to what they think the new city entrance signs should look like.

The survey relies heavily on other towns and cities signage for starting points, with residents asked to share their favourite parts of Grande Prairie, and what they love most about it as feedback.

The survey then asks residents opinions on a number of multiple choices questions from text size and font, to landscaping features to accompany the new signage.

The two locations under consideration for new signs are the North and West gateway entrances to Grande Prairie.

Added to the survey is the recent request by the Downtown Association to upgrade the downtown welcome sign.

The public consultation will go until May 3rd, after which city staff will use the results as a guideline when starting the request for proposals from professional designers.

You can take the survey here.
