Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, and Valleyview area this weekend.
The above average temperatures we have experienced this week will disappear as we move into this afternoon.
The drop in temperatures will also be accompanied by snowfall, the Grande Prairie area is expected to see at least 10 centimetres of snow over the course of the weekend, though Environment Canada says they aren’t certain about the strength of the system, and we could see more than 10 centimetres of snow by Monday.
The system is stretching all the way across the province from Grande Prairie to Lloydminster.
