CPP contribution going up as Ottawa prepares overhaul of pension plan

Starting Tuesday, CPP contributions will increase to 5.1 per cent for anyone making less than $57,000 annually. The move is to help increase pension payouts for Canadians, which is expected to rise to about $20,000 annually by 2060.
New trucking school rules take effect in March in Alberta
Alberta is preparing to kick off new rules for trucker training in 2019.
Starting in March, the province will require a standardized curriculum for all trucking courses. The changes come in the wake of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, when a truck crashed into the hockey team’s bus killing sixteen people. A trucker with a Calgary-based operation was charged in the crash.

Ottawa is approving two Toonie designs to bring some commemoration to your pocket.
