UPDATE: Snowfall Warning for Grande Prairie area cancelled

UPDATE: The snowfall warning has ended as of 12 am on Sunday morning.

A snowfall warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview areas as well as for the Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning areas. Environment Canada says amounts around 10 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected.

The forecast says a low pressure system will move into northern Alberta on Saturday bringing 10 to 20 centimetres of snow by Sunday morning. Strong winds associated with the low will also bring the risk of greatly reduced visibility in blowing snow.
