RCMP looking for stabbing suspect

A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing. Grande Prairie RCMP says it happened a little before 10:45 p.m. on December 15th in the area of 100 Street and 93 Avenue.

Officers found the man hurt, and he was taken to hospital by EMS. The suspect had already left the scene, and Constable Melanie McIntosh says it’s unclear why he attacked the victim.

“Video surveillance shows a suspect male injuring the male without obvious provocation. The suspect left the area in an unknown direction.”

RCMP used police dogs to patrol the area but couldn’t find the suspect. He’s described as Aboriginal with a heavy build wearing a dark coat, a plaid shirt, jeans, a black toque, and brown boots with furry white trim.
