Four charged after traffic stop in the city

Four people are facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in Grande Prairie. In the early morning hours of September 16, Grande Prairie RCMP attempted to pull over a vehicle near the Rotary House that was reported stolen.

Police arrested two men but the two women who were also in the vehicle ran from the scene. Police caught up with one of the women and the second was found with the help of Police Dog Services. All four occupants are now facing numerous charges.

A 39-year-old man from Grande Prairie was charged with possession of stolen property and failure to comply.

A 37-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man who are both from Grande Prairie as well as a 37-year-old woman from Dawson Creek, BC have also been charged with obstructing a police officer, failure to comply with conditions and possession of stolen property.

All four appeared in Grande Prairie court on Wednesday.
