Neighbourhood gatherings being held across the city

Neighbourhood associations all across the city will be holding events this weekend. The city is hosting its second annual Neighbour Day designed to help residents connect with the people who live around them.

Community Recreation Coordinator Patricia Millward says this day was created as a way for people to introduce themselves to each other.

“Many of the Neighbourhood Associations are holding events to bring neighbours together. This day is for everyone, so be sure to introduce yourself to a new neighbour or say hello to those you know already.”

Events taking place on September 15 include neighbourhood gatherings for:
Westpointe at 9:30 a.m. at the park on 78Ave & 115St;
Copperwood at 11:00 a.m. at Copperwood Park;
Swanavon at 12:00 p.m. at Thrill Hill;
Pinnacle at 1:00 p.m. at Gazebo Park;
Hillside at 1:00 p.m. at Roy Peterson Park and
Mission at 1:00 p.m. John McAuley Park.
