Grande Prairie law enforcement and truckers broke two records this weekend.
290 trucks took part in the World’s Largest Truck Convoy Saturday, passing the previous record of 274 trucks in Florida.
They also raised more than $131,000 for Special Olympics, which far surpassed the $100,000Â raised previously, and donations are still coming in.
This is the first time the event has been held in the Swan City, and it was particularly timely, as we will host the Alberta Winter Games in 2015.
