Parks staff cleaning litter from Highway 43

Keep an eye out for people on the side of the highway Thursday morning. City of Grande Prairie Parks Operations staff will be picking up litter along Highway 43 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

During that time, the speed limit from the corner of 116 Street west to the city limits will be down to 60 kilometres an hour. Speed signs will be posted and extra bylaw officers will be in the area.

Parks workers cleaned up that stretch of highway three time in the summer of 2017, picking up nearly nine tonnes of garbage. Residents are reminded that littering fines run $115, and unsecured loads $400.
