Two provincial politicians are spending their Valentine’s Day with the Peace Country. Municipal Affairs Minister Shaye Anderson will be in the region Wednesday and Thursday, meeting with community groups and local businesses.
His department says he’s interested in hearing from residents how they’re being affected by Alberta’s growing economy, and how the government can support them. His itinerary includes a tour of the Beaverlodge Farmer’s Market Wednesday.
Leader of the United Conservative Party Jason Kenney is also in the area on his first tour since he was elected. He intends to meet local officials and stakeholders to learn about issues in the region and how the official opposition can advocate for them.
Toured some of Seven Generations Energy’s amazing Montney gas-fracking operations in Northwest Alberta. Cutting edge technology & world leading environmental practices helping to fuel Canada’s economy. Good to be joined by @MLA_W_Drysdale & @dtloewen. pic.twitter.com/gSwXZNQpV0
