UPDATE: City working non-stop to remove recent snowfall

UDPATE #2: The city says its crews will working around-the-clock to clear main roads, collectors, and transit routes. A new round of residential snow removal will also start Wednesday, due to the recent snowfall and more in the forecast.

Crews will be in Smith, Morgan Meadows, Highland Park, Swanavon, College Park, Cobblestone and Brookside. A parking ban remains in effect.

UPDATE: Snow removal crews are also working in the County of Grande Prairie. They’re starting with the main paved roads, then heading to arterial and local gravel roads.

The hamlet crew is in Westlake Village in Clairmont. Once done, they’ll move on to Whispering Ridge, then Wedgewood, and Clairmont north of 108 Avenue.

Residents are asked to keep their vehicles off the road when plows are in their neighbourhood. They also shouldn’t shovel snow off their property onto roads.

Residential snow clearing will continue Tuesday, following a dump of snow in Grande Prairie overnight Monday. Crews will be in South Patterson Place, Patterson Place, Cornerstone, Country Club Estates, Country Club West, and Countryside South.

Snow is removed from neighbourhoods the day before their garbage pickup. Windrows are being removed again as an extension of a pilot project.

City crews will also be clearing priority one routes as needed. A parking ban remains in effect for permanent snow routes.
