Feedback on transportation master plan needed

A transportation master plan is in the works for the City of Grande Prairie, and staff are ready to hear feedback from the public. A consultation session has been scheduled for Friday, January 25th.

The first phase of the consultation is currently underway, looking at how the city’s current transportation network is running. That includes major issues, needs, opportunities and wishes when it comes to walking, biking, and driving around the city.

Transportation & Safety Engineering Supervisor Robin Hutchinson says public consultation is vital to figuring those out.

“Once completed, the Transportation Master Plan will help us plan and build the infrastructure that
enables the public to move through Grande Prairie for years to come.”

The public consultation session will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre. There will be two more rounds of consultation going into spring/summer 2018.
