A High Level man has been charged in connection with an alleged abduction complaint last week in Grande Prairie. RCMP were called to the parking lot of a downtown restaurant around 7:15 p.m. on January 4th after hearing a woman had been grabbed against her will and forced into a truck.
Police were able to pull over the truck near the QEII Hospital and two men were taken into custody without incident. The woman was found inside the truck unharmed, and was also taken into custody on an unrelated matter.
RCMP say all three people knew each other. 43 year old Mark Gunson has been charged with assault and will appear in Grande Prairie court on January 24th. The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
