UPDATED: Suspects in custody after abduction complaint

UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP say they responded after receiving a call about a woman being forced against her will into a truck in the parking lot of a downtown restaurant. RCMP say shortly after they located the vehicle near the hospital where they pulled over the vehicle and arrested two men. The woman was located in the truck unharmed.

Three people are in custody following what started out as a reported abduction. Corporal Chris Warren with Alberta RCMP says a call came in from the downtown Grande Prairie area around 7:10 p.m. Thursday and officers responded quickly.

Two men were taken into custody without incident, along with a woman who is the alleged victim on unrelated matters. Police say the three were known to each other and this is not considered a random incident.

The trio remain in custody and no injuries have been reported. RCMP are expected to release more information as the investigation continues.
