The City of Grande Prairie has decided to also enforce a road ban in the area.
That means that as of 10 a.m., all gravel roads in both the City and County are restricted to 75 per cent axle weight.
Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll explains the ban is to help protect roads during the spring thaw.
It will be in effect until further notice, which could be four to six weeks.
