RCMP investigate pedestrian hit and run near Grimshaw

RCMP are investigating after a late-night knock at the door led to the discovery of an injured man.

Around 4:30 a.m. on September 24 officers were called to a home near Grimshaw. Once there someone in the house told police they woke up to a knock and saw two unknown males standing at the door. The witness didn’t open it but after the men left he opened the door to find an injured man on the lawn.

It’s believed the injured man was struck by a vehicle that is described as a small black car. RCMP say the man was hit by a northbound vehicle, north of Grimshaw on Hwy 35.

Peace Regional RCMP are seeking the the males who brought the injured man to the witnesses yard and would also like to learn more about the black car. Anyone with information is asked to call the Peace Regional RCMP at 780-624-6611 or Crimestoppers to remain anonymous.
