Strong Grande Prairie presence at Alberta Summer Games

The 2014 Alberta Summer Games kick off today in Airdrie.

There are 292 competitors representing the Peace Country zone, with the majority from Grande Prairie.

After the opening ceremonies, athletes will take part in a weekend of competition in the 15 featured sports.

All those taking part are between the ages of 11 and 17, who qualified in their zone playoffs earlier this year.
