Local man named President of Alberta writing association

A Grande Prairie man has been named the President of the largest provincial writers’ association in the country. Local author Dustin Archibald will take on the position with the Writers’ Guild of Alberta for the 2017-2018 year.

Archibald writes middle grade, young adult and adult fiction. He says it is a privilege to work with people dedicated to the writing community.

Other than writing, the author also is involved in game design and human-computer interfaces as he studied computing science at Grande Prairie Regional College.

The Guild was formed in 1980 and stands as the largest provincial writers’ organization in Canada.
