Road rehabilitation work begins

Road Rehabilitation and Overlay work is set to start Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th in Grande Prairie.

On Monday, Knelsen Sand and Gravel Ltd. will start the work on 84th Avenue between 113th and 108th Street. The area south in the Richmond Industrial Park will have the pavement grinded off and replaced.

On Tuesday, work starts on 100th Street between 104th Avenue and 108th Avenue. Foot traffic will not be able to go on the west side of 100th but the east side will be open. From Jubilee Park to Kentucky Fried Chicken, Knelsen crews will be replacing asphalt, doing spot repairs, fixing curbs and gutters on 100th Street.

Both areas of construction will be down to one lane in each direction. The speed limit will also be down to 30 kilometres an hour while work goes to the end of June.
