A Grande Prairie football player will be joining the U16 Alberta team. Treyton Hunt was picked for the team after playing the biennial Bantam Bowl over the long weekend in Edmonton. The St. Joseph’s Celtic’s linebacker was part of the North team which lost to the South with a score of 27 to 8.
Hunt will compete in Lethbridge in July in the Western Canadian Championships with a chance to be picked for Team Canada.
The Senior Bowl was also held in Edmonton over the weekend with two local players taking part. Both St. Joe’s Offensive Linemen Marshall Tunke and Austin Gordin were part of the North team which lost to the South with a score of 26 to 15.
