The Swan City Rotary Cash and Camping Super Lottery tickets are on sale as of April 5th, 2017 at 11:00 am. The white tent is up and filled with prizes in the Great Northern Casino parking lot.
Lottery Manager Jessie Urness says they really kept the economy in mind when planning out the early bird draws.
“We’ve got three different ways you can win cash this year. We have got two early bird draws with one in May and one in June. You also get a chance to scratch for cash when you purchase a cash and camping ticket. We have our 50-50 bonus draw back this year where you can win up to $125,000.”
She adds that with the downturn in the economy, they need people to purchase tickets now more than ever. Proceeds from the lotto go to 12 non-profit groups in the community. Suicide Prevention Resource Centre, Army, Navy, Airforce Veterans Unit 389, Bezanson Agricultural Society, Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities, Grande Prairie Army Cadets, Grande Prairie Council on Aging – Seniors Outreach/ Meals on Wheels, Grande Prairie Gymnastics, Grande Prairie Public School District Education Foundation, Rotary After Five, Spinal Cord Injury Alberta, Swan City Rotary Club, and Camp Tamarack Association. You will be able to take a look at the prizes in the tent starting at 11:00 am April 5th. Tickets are available online, through the phone and in person.
