The city of Grande Prairie has been recognized for the Downtown Incentives Program. The city received the Alex Metcalfe award at the Economic Developers Alberta 2017 Awards of Excellence. They also received an award in the medium community category for Business Retention and Expansion.
Economic Development Manager Brian Glavin was also recognized with the Outstanding Young Professional the Year Award for his work with the program. He says it is an honour to be recognized by his peers in his field of work.
The awards highlight organizations and people in economic development across the province. The ceremony was held in Banff on Thursday, March 23rd.
