As a parent, you may not understand what exactly is going on in your child’s life especially when it comes to technology. Grande Prairie Crime Prevention’s Kaylee Galipeau says that is what the first A Path Forward conference is all about. It takes place on February 24th and 25th.
“Knowledge is power and information is power. It is really hard to understand what your child is doing on their phone if you don’t understand what your phone is capable of doing. It is hard to look at the apps and realize what’s going on.”
Parents, teachers and other people that work with youth can attend the two day information session at the Collins Recital Hall located in the Grande Prairie Regional College. Topics like sexting and addictions will be touched on at the event. The first day is free and $10 for the second.
