The Grande Prairie Drillers will be kicking off their practices for the 2017 season this week but it is a little too cold to be out on the field. The team will be starting their indoor practices at the Crosslink County Sportsplex with their first one this Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
There was some worry that they would not have enough players for their team last year but they ended up pulling together enough for the 2016 season. If anyone is interested in playing senior men’s football, they are encouraged to go out to the practice.
They are also looking for executive board members and coaching staff heading into the new season. A handful of their executive are stepping down to pursue other opportunities and anyone interested in filling the spots should look into attending Annual General Meeting. It will be held at Better Than Fred’s on February 12th at 8:00 pm.
