UPDATE: County to test out snowshoe program

UPDATE: Registration closed for the event on January 31st.

Originally used by trappers and fur traders, snowshoes are now used for a recreation activity and your family could experience what it is like. The County of Grande Prairie is trying out a new program for people to learn more about the winter activity with the Snowshoe FUNdamentals for Families Pilot Program.

The event will take place this Sunday at the Pipestone Creek Campground Group Area from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. People can learn about techniques and history.
Pre-registration is required and there is a cost of $10 per family. There will be hot chocolate around a campfire after the activities.
